Before Purchasing

1. What currency are the prices in?
All our prices listed are in Singapore dollars.

1a: Since the prices are in Singapore dollar, how can I pay for them if I'm in the US/Europe or in another currency?
You don't have to calculate anything if you are using our credit card payment method. Our payment gateway and your bank will calculate/convert the prices for you in your respective currency.

1b: I just bought this item from you at S$Y two weeks ago. Why is it cheaper now?
Due to the occasional market fluctuations in the prices of some items, we will update our prices regularly to give you the best possible price at that point in time. We update our prices according to the prevailing market rate given to us by our distributors. We will charge you according to the price reflected on the site at the time of your purchase and reflected in your invoice.

2. I live outside USA and Singapore. Can I still order from SG Techstore?
Yes, we ship to anywhere in the world. Please note however, that the warranty for most of our items only applies locally, hence, if there is a need to return the item, you will have to send it back to us. Please view our store warranties below for more information.

3. I don't have a credit card. Can I still buy from SG Techstore?
At this point of time, we only accept credit card and Paypal orders for both local and international orders. Locals have the additional option to pay via ATM bank transfer, personal cheque or Cash-on-Delivery(COD). If you prefer to pay via ATM bank transfer or personal cheque, please contact us with a list of items you would like to purchase and we will give you instructions on making payment. However, do note that for cheques, the order will only be processed when the cheque has been cleared.

If you don't have a credit card and really wish to purchase items from our store, we can make special arrangements via wire transfer or Western Union. Please contact us to make the arrangements.

4. How long does it take for an item to reach me after purchase?
For local orders, from the time payment is confirmed to the time the item arrives at your doorstep, it will take approximately 5 -7 business days.

For USA and most orders, it will take approximately 2 - 4 weeks to arrive. For non-USA orders, shipment times will vary according to the efficiency of your postal system. Please note that all orders are shipped directly out from Singapore.

5. How much do you charge for shipping?
For local orders, all purchases come with free delivery, either via home delivery for Cash-on-Delivery (COD) items, or via Singpost for smaller items that have already been paid for. Larger items like monitors or systems chassis will be home delivered no matter payment type. Custom built computer systems will require a $20 installation/delivery fee.

For international orders, please refer to our shipping rates for the estimated cost.

6. How can I guarantee that I will definitely receive the item? What protection policies do I get?
We ship all international and local orders via Speedpost (EMS) from the local post office. Each shipment will have its own tracking number which will be emailed to our customers once the item has been shipped out.

In the event that our customers do not receive their order, we will track the order with the post office and issue a reshipment if item is lost or if there is a shipping mishap.

7. I am interested in bulk or wholesale purchase, how can I go about it?
We offer discounts for wholesale orders, and you may contact us regarding these bulk purchases.

8. Why should I choose my parts for my computer rather than just buy the pre-built ones from other computer vendors?
Pre-built computers sometimes come with low end parts which are usually less reliable and offer limited future upgrade options for you, the consumer. By choosing parts for your computer, we allow you to know exactly what goes into your system. All our parts come from reputable vendors and are manufactured with the best quality and reliability. It is quite like choosing to cook your own food rather than buying the same one from a store, at least when you cook your own dishes, you know what you are actually eating.

After Purchasing

9. I did not receive a confirmation email from SG Techstore. Is my order processed?
Upon payment, you should receive an email from Paypal confirming your payment. This email confirms that you have made an order with SG Techstore, and you can use it to verify your order with us. We will also send you a second email with your shipment tracking number once your item has been shipped out.

10. Upon receiving the item, I realized the wrong item was shipped to me. What should I do?
You may send the item back to us with the order form enclosed, stating that you have received the wrong items. We will issue a reshipment immediately of the correct products. Prior to that, please contact our sales department in order for us process it more efficiently.

Other Notes

Custom PCs
If you require a custom PC to be built for you, for the time being, please drop us an email regarding your budget, usage and any other requirements and our sales representatives will be able to help you. Please note that custom PCs are only available for local customers at the moment.

Personal delivery
We are only currently able to ship the smaller and lighter items overseas or locally via Speedpost (EMS). Larger and heavier items like PSUs, monitors and casings are only available to be delivered locally for the time being. We will arrange for someone to send those items personally to you once a delivery timing has been agreed upon via email. We will only be able to deliver your products within our delivery hours as stated below. For a list of item types that are eligible for overseas shipping or local Speedpost, please refer below.

Please note that any taxes incurred from the shipment will have to be borne by you (the buyer). We are not responsible for payment of the taxes of your own country.

Delivery times
Our local delivery times are as follows:

Mon – Fri: 10am – 7pm
Sat : 11am – 4pm
Sun: No deliveries

Warranties
For local orders, we offer a personal store warranty of 14 days from the time you receive your order. If you encounter any problems within these 14 days, please contact us, quote the invoice number and problem and state if you would like a replacement at no extra charge or a refund. After 14 days, all sales are final and any problems with the products should be directed at their respective distributors.

For international orders, we currently offer only local warranties on most of our items, save CPUs, which have an international warranty. Hence, if there are any problems with the products, you will have to send it back to us, bearing the cost of the postage. However, any replacements will be sent to you free of charge. Before sending the item back to us, please contact our sales department and quote the invoice number to allow us to process it more efficiently.

Returns Policy
Please save all packaging and accessories for any item that is returned to SG Techstore. All original equipment, components, manuals, cables, documents, warranty cards and packaging must be returned with your item in order for us to process your return. The shipping cost of all returns will be borne by you (the buyer), while replacements, if any, will be sent back to you (the buyer) free of charge, at our discretion.

An item returned for a replacement may be repaired or replaced at our discretion, unless otherwise required by law. Products with specific refund and return policies and deadlines must be returned within the time periods specified for each item. All items sold through SG Techstore are subject to our Privacy Notice and Conditions of Use. Products damaged via overclocking and/or physically damaged items cannot be returned. Products damaged via overclocking will have deemed to have voided their warranties.

For CPUs: Physically damaged CPUs cannot be returned to SG Techstore.

Improper installation of CPU fans and/or improper clocking may cause CPUs to chip. CPUs that are chipped, burnt or have bent/broken pins are considered physically damaged and cannot be returned for refund or replacement. Physical damage includes (but is not limited to) any damages resulting from improper handling and/or any other type of damage sustained by irregular use.

Forcing a processor into position will not solve an installation problem and may void your SG Techstore return policy.

For memory modules: The following conditions are not acceptable for return, and will result in your item being returned to you:

- Physically damaged memory modules cannot be returned to SG Techstore.
- Modules that are missing the manufacturer label containing model number and part number
- Modules that are missing the manufacturer warranty label
- Modules that include a manufacturer-applied heat spreader, but have had the heat spreader removed
- "Kit" Modules (which contain 2 or more memory modules packaged together) that are not returned as complete set
- USB Drives, Thumb Drives, Flash Memory, or any related product that is returned without the cap or protective casing

General Disclaimer
Please note that SG Techstore will not be held responsible for any damages incurred during shipping. We will do our best to ensure the protection of our items with sufficient packing material. We are not responsible for the treatment of our packages when in the possession of your local post office. We are also not responsible for any taxes incurred by your own country during shipping, any taxes will have to be paid for by you, the buyer.

Please also note that the prices on SG Techstore are correct at the time of purchase and subject to changes without prior notice. The price reflected in the sales invoice is final. Taxes, shipping and handling fees may apply. We reserve the right to cancel orders arising from errors in pricing or website malfunctions.

We will also bear no responsibility for incompatibilities with your existing hardware once the store warranty has run out. If you are unable to determine which hardware interface is suitable for your system, please contact us and we will help you with your purchase. We are also not responsible for any damages resulting from any accidents, misuse, mishaps or abuse of your own computer, overclocking of any of our products will also be considered to have voided its warranty.

As an extra step to ensure the quality of our products, some of the products may be taken out of their packaging to be checked for physical damages as well as tested to be in working condition before being repacked and sealed up for shipping. Products that are shrink wrapped or sealed in static wrap (eg. Hard disks) will not be opened by us.
